This one's for you!

Gosh, it's hard to spare some time for this blog.

I have a huge shout out tonight and the reason I'm typing away at 10:30 pm. My friend Kara inspired this post. She sent me a "friendly you haven't posted in a long time" text tonight. She is my biggest blogger fan. In fact, she might be the only person reading this post. So this one is for you, my sweet friend!

Today was day one of Thanksgiving vacation. I did some hard core relaxing. PSYCHE!

Campbell went to daycare, so I could become Maid Penny. I hate cleaning! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!

It took me all day, and right now folks (or Kara!) it's been clean for a total of two hours. Tomorrow when my little rugrat awakes, the hours will have stopped. She can destroy a room in less than 2 seconds. (But I can't wait to spend the day with her!)

I cleaned from top to bottom both bathrooms, the play room, Campbell's room, the kitchen, living room, our room, swept, mopped, vacuumed, and dusted EVERYTHING. It took me ALL DAY! Have I mentioned this?

I don't want anyone to mess anything up. When I say "anything," I mean no walking, eating, or going to the restroom. Breathing is okay as long as you're not creating dust. It's such a pain to clean that I don't want anyone to mess up my spotless house. Maybe we should move.

I ended the fun day with a trip to HEB. If you haven't been to the grocery store yet for your Thanksgiving preparations, let me give you a word of advice, GO WITH PLAN B. Plan B should be Domino's or Pizza Hut because the grocery store is chaotic. Don't do it, folks. Seriously, pizza or Whataburger. You could end up in prison on death row for the violent accounts you might commit while you steer your basket cussing under your breath through the congested aisles. Is that can of yams worth it?

And to top this chocolate fudge sundae of a day off, I saw a homeless man begging for money on the corner on my way home. I never give money to homeless people. It's a rule I have. I won't get into my reasons why, but I will offer food if I have it in my car. Today, it's 39 degrees. This poor man is shaking. He has no gloves, and he's holding a sign asking for money. Now, the first thought I had was "is he working a shift and working on the heart strings of people because it's so cold?" Then I thought, "No way! It's flipping freezing!" I almost broke my rule, but just coming from HEB, I rolled my window down and offered the man the only thing edible out of my Thanksgiving loot of butter and brown sugar (I'm in charge of dessert---insert fat girl dance here), a banana. Now, I know it's not a warm cooked meal, but anything would feel better in his stomach than nothing, right?

He laughed at me! Get.out.of.town.
He told me "I can't eat that. It's too cold." He then took out a pair of gloves from his pocket.

And that folks is when I then decided to have a change of heart and offer him money. PSYCHE! I'm still in disbelief actually.

Tomorrow will be a better day! I can just tell!

Happy Turkey Week!
