classic

Peonies and milk glass!

I couldn't believe it when I saw a big bunch of peonies for sale in HEB. Peonies are my favorite flower, but they don't grow here! It's too hot. They are beautiful in Colorado! This is the first time I've seen peonies in the store. My whole house smells amazing!

Sonic Sadness

I went to Sonic this afternoon for a diet Strawberry Limeade happy hour drink.

Whoa, they have shaken things up.

And it's bad news bears!

They changed their menu. They took off my favorite "the only reason I go to Sonic" item. No more grilled chicken wraps!

RATS! DANGIT! FUDGE! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

How could you do this to me?

The lady said, (because you know I asked) "We still have the items to make it even though it's not listed on the menu..." Well Alleluia!

"But...it's for a limited time!"

Oh my goodness, we're eating at Sonic very, very soon! I have to get my fix.

P.S. No more hamburger toaster sandwich with the hickory bbq sauce and onion ring. Randy's go-to item is a no-go as well!

It's a sad day at the Lueders' household.

laziness

I have been approximately 2% productive over the last couple of days!

One of the things I've been working on is sorting old mail/magazines/ads/junk mail. Over the last couple of months, if it hasn't been a bill, it's been stacked in the "I need to go through that" pile.

Well, today perusing through the Bed, Bath, and Beyond advertisement, I was disgusted.

Americans are so stinkin' lazy!

Really?
Do you absolutely need a banana slicer to make 5 slices? Bananas are the easiest fruit to slice through. If you own one, I think you are ridiculous!

Where do people store all these gadgets? By the time I would find this buried in my drawer, wash off all the dust from my high usage, I could have sliced 3 bananas.

Laziness, I tell you!

And the winner is...

Mopac!

And her creative "I'll figure this out" attitude.

There was a squirrel on the other side of the fence.
What do you do when you're less than a foot tall?

You use the knot holes in the fence!

What a smart girl!!!

Fascination Preparation

Why is this my third post for the day?

Because I'm extremely bored, and Randy still isn't home from work.

I've been researching Vegas!

Check out this captivating description about the Exhibit Gallery at the Hoover Dam!

"Exhibit Gallery: This gallery houses numerous audio, visual and interactive exhibits, including a full-scale model of the huge buckets used to move concrete for Hoover Dam construction, a walk-though model of generator, and a detailed diorama of the dam. Also featured are interactive exhibits that allow you to test your skill at managing power generation, conserving energy, and other skills."

I can't wait for the managing power generation questions!

Oh it's on Randall Jay!

Birthday Dinner

Hooray! Randy's birthday is today!

There are many reasons to be excited!

1) He was born on this day, duh!
2) I don't have to cook tonight, double duh!

So, it's always the birthday person's choice on where we eat out on their special night. The non-birthday person foots the bill.

Boy, oh boy, do I take advantage of this come September:)

Well, where will Randy pick to eat tonight?

I hope it's some place good! It'll probably be Moonie's Burger House. Don't get me wrong. Moonie's is delicious! But, there are so many other (better) choices.

I'm hoping he picks Cheesecake Factory. I love that place. Or maybe Texas Roadhouse. I could eat a steak kabob. Heck, let's go to Chuys! Nothing says "it's your birthday" than your own personal bowl of creamy jalapeno. OOhh, North by Northwest has that rosemary butter for their cheddar herb rolls.

Can you tell I'm hungry?

See post below for my healthy lunch. That explains my hunger pangs!

Snack time!

Summer Lovin'

Fresh peaches and okra gumbo.

I'm in love!
