animals + extra sense

So I never really understood the notion that animals have a sixth sense? I mean can dogs and cats really be that intuitive to their owners' lives, emotions, and feelings?

I never thought so until now! Oh boy! Here comes another "Mopac is wonderful" story. You better believe it she's wonderful! She lights up my life.

Things are tough in life right now. Randy and I have tons of things going on. We are learning to trust in Him and His will, when we really can't see through the mirk. We are waiting patiently to see His promises unfold. I'm juggling a new job-figuring out if this really is my career...eeek! Why does the word "career" sound so permanent?

The bottom line is...I'm a mess!

The beauty of this is...God loves me! I am a completely broken, ugly, confused, wet hot mess. And He loves me more than I can fathom!

Mopac's love is pretty amazing too. She always knows when I need her the most.

Wow... you're thinking, "this lady is nuts."

But let me explain...Mopac is little Miss Independent. She never sleeps with us. She usually roams around at night or sleeps on the couch. But lately she's found her way to my side of the bed. She's curled up with me lately to be my security blanket. She twitches her little butt close to my stomach and snuggles with me all night long.

Another example> My right arm is slowly going numb because Mopac's face is draped over my wrist as I type. Did I tell you she can read now? That's why she's here. She's providing me some writing feedback.

She really is super dog. I will beat up anyone who disagrees with me. Don't mess with me this week, people! I am definitely getting some fight back in me;)

  2. Good job Mopac! Very impressed that she can read already- usually that happens around age 5, but you obviously have an over-achiever on your hands. Wonder where she gets that from... :) I know, those weekends at Uncle D and Aunt Les have really paid off.

  3. Hooray for Mopac stories!
Les, you crack me up. I mean what can I say, when your child has a former teacher as a mom, they are going to be smart...oh and maybe that whole her daddy is an engineer thing too. But I know it's more of the former and not the latter;) Mopac is excited about her visit next weekend as well!
